Beautiful sunshine, deep powder and long groomed runs abound. There are also 10 cross-country centers, 4 snowmobiling companies, sledding and even sleigh riding. | Home to some of the best tree skiing, Heavenly Resort in Stateline, Nevada, is Lake Tahoe's largest ski resort, with 91 runs on nine mountain peaks and a 3,500-foot vertical drop. Altitude is 10,077 feet. Avg. snowfall is 360 inches.
All just minutes from our Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals. Quality-obsessed Vail resorts is adding 7 hi-speed lifts, 3 restaurants and tons of little extras to this resort, including an entire back bowl area to be known as "wells fargo". Not sure how it received that name, but the terrain should be incredible and scenic.
Season passes are only $349, one of the best bargains around. The new Olympic Express chair should really open up the terrain. There has been $5 million in improvements this year. Season starts Nov. 18 to April 23rd.
