Sundance
This vacation rental in South Lake Tahoe, is located in an upscale neighborhood known as "Granite Springs" within Kingsbury. Sundance is our largest home. Sundance, named after its sun-filled rooms and incredible feeling of space and light. The sunny southern exposure allows for all-day sunshine. The location offers privacy, yet is 1 mile from the casinos, the Lake, & Heavenly Ski Resort. The convenience is truly wonderful!
The amenities are everything you would expect in a private, luxury tahoe mountain home including dramatic views, gourmet kitchen, 3 fireplaces, large TVs, rich bedding, pool table, and 5 private decks.
Open the hand-carved front door, and you're greeted with a warm formal entry with polished terracotta tiled floor. Head down a few steps to enter a richly decorated living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, massive native stone fireplace, and a wall of windows leading to an astounding view. The dining room features a unique long dining table for 10 and leads right to a large, completely private terrace with a teak dining table, large umbrella and BBQ grill for enjoying outside meals or morning coffee.
Back inside you'll find a magnificent over-sized kitchen, truly the heart of the home. Perfect for a gourmet chef with a commercial Viking range and 2 refrigerators. It's the perfect kitchen for entertaining large groups and preparing family dinners. There is also a breakfast bar with stools for quicker meals. At the end of the kitchen is another large, rustic dining table which seats 8, with fabulous views and sliding glass doors onto a deck.
From the kitchen and it's dining area you are overlooking a large family room, with TV set inside a uniquely rustic armoire, and warm fireplace. Here you can relax and admire the view after a great day outdoors. There is a cozy, cushioned window seat where you can curl up with a cup of tea and a good book!
Leave the family room, and walk down the hallway lined with Mexican wrought iron work. Straight ahead through French doors is the spacious Bedroom #1 with a king bed, rustic armoire, private terrace and window seat. Adjacent to this bedroom is a tiled half bath.
Turning right, go down 6 steps to the mid-level large game room with two sets of bunks, large TV, couch and pool table. We consider this large dual-purpose space bedroom number two.
Step down 6 steps and walk through double doors to the spacious and luxurious master suite. It includes a large sitting area complete with fireplace, love seat, coffee table, plush king bed and private patio. The bathroom is ensuite with a double vanity and wonderful, over-sized shower with mountain view
Continuing down the hallway on your left is bedroom # 4 with queen bed and western decor. Bedroom #5 is spacious with two twin beds and a large view window. The theme is cowboy chic. You'll find a work table and high-speed Internet access so you can download emails and work while admiring the views.
Bedroom #6 is the second master suite with a queen log bed an an ensuite tiled bathroom. This suite has sliding glass doors to a patio and the hot tub. Bedroom #7 has a queen bed, armoire, vanity area with sink, and a door to a small patio and the hot tub area. For additional accommodation if necessary, there are two roll-away beds stored in the main master suite's walk-in closet.
The new hot tub seats 8, is completely private & outdoors -- perfect after a long day of skiing, hiking, biking or golf.
